2. La Risata
La Risata, which opened in 1996, is well-known among the residents, especially when it comes to Italian cuisine. From substantial servings of pasta and risotto to scrumptious desserts like panna cotta and cannoli, the eatery delivers authentic and hearty Italian cuisine.
One of our favourite places for pizza is the Italian cafe. The pizza menu is divided into two categories based on the base sauce, and there are over 15 high-quality pies to choose from. To go with your meal, the restaurant has a selection of red and white wines.

3. Fox Paradox
Fox Paradox, dubbed “Ampang’s Neighborhood Cafe,” is the place to go if you’re in the area and looking for a tasty breakfast, brunch, or coffee. The cafe, which is located in The Grange KL (formerly known as Ampwalk Mall), has a sleek, yet homey environment of polished cement and potted plants, making it a trendy place to visit when in the region.
Because the proprietor has been in the coffee industry for over a decade, you can expect very amazing coffee while you’re here. Choose from a gluten-free pancake, toasts, omelettes, kinds of pasta, or any of their sweet goodies to go with your cup of joe. Their doughnuts are our particular favourites!

4. Kenny Hills Bakers
Kenny Hills Bakers began as a little bakery in a small half-lot in 2014 and have since grown to three locations, one of which is right here in Ampang. The people behind Kenny Hill Bakers have stuck to their mission since day one, promising to offer wonderful coffee, outstanding pastries, cakes, and organic bread to local communities. This is the Ampang breakfast ever!
When you stop by, you’ll find everything from sourdough loaves to organic bagels, pies, tarts, small pavlovas, toasties, and cakes. You’ll find your cup of tea here, whether you’re looking for something sweet or savoury. Our favourite location is here, where there is plenty of seats and a welcoming atmosphere!

5. The Garage KL
When you visit The Garage KL, you’ll discover an urban commercial outlet created entirely of shipping containers, complete with an event space, speciality stores, a salon, a motor workshop, and, most importantly, its own cafe. The cafe boasts superb food, comfortable seating, and live entertainment, making it the ideal spot for a weekend hangout with friends.
You can order a large variety of Western cuisine, as well as a few Asian foods, a children’s menu, and scrumptious desserts, here. You’ll particularly like the cocktails served here if you have a sweet tooth. Choose from a range of delectable milkshakes, smoothies, and frappes, or stick to their coffee or tea if you prefer something more straightforward.

6. Fine Coffee & Flowers
Fine Coffee & Flowers is the place to be if you like cafés that radiate Korean cafe aesthetics (we’re talking pale, light woods and minimalist decor). This cosy spot tucked away in Ampang’s Little Korea neighbourhood and founded by a family of florists, doubles as a cafe and a floral store, where you can enjoy delicious cakes and lovely bouquets.
The cafe boasts a small but gorgeous menu with a range of main items (Big Breakfast, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Smoked Salmon Toast, and more) and desserts like Black Sesame Pudding, Baked Cheesecake, and Houjicha Roll, with minimalistic furniture, pastel florals, and a tranquil ambience. There’s also a delicious drink menu with everything from strawberry lattes to Earl Grey tea!

7. B.Station
What we like best about B.Station is the cost, welcoming atmosphere it radiates; you’ll feel at ease the instant you walk in! B.Station, which is located in Ampang’s famed “Korea Town,” sets itself apart from other Korean restaurants in the neighbourhood by focusing on dishing customers healthy yet delectable home-style food that is free of MSG and preservatives.
Many of the products in their meals, such as tofu and kimchi, are created from scratch with only the best ingredients. While the restaurant is not Halal-certified, they utilise only Halal-certified ingredients, and your cuisine is made in the kitchen by a Muslim chef.

8. Tim’s Teapot Terrace
Tim’s Teapot Terrace, a small and charming cafe tucked away in Taman Melawati, is not far from Zoo Negara. The cafe has two entrances, but our favourite is the one with the glass window displaying their delectable display of freshly made cakes.
The cafe’s interior is adorned with an incredible collection of teapots, which come in a variety of forms, sizes, and colours. It’s no surprise that this café has become one of our favourites for a beautiful tea-time session, but the cafe also serves a variety of comfort food, from pies to pasta, whether you’re visiting for lunch or supper.

9. Restoran Teochew & Hakka
Visit Restoran Teochew & Hakka for a feast of delectable seafood and traditional Chinese cuisine. The traditional Chinese fare is available, including omelettes in a number of flavours, noodles, stir-fried vegetables, beancurd, and tofu alternatives. Seafood, particularly river fish, is a local favourite. To carefully bring out the sweetness of the meat, fish is cooked and combined with sauces. Teochew porridge, which is served with a variety of side dishes such as vegetables, beef, braised eggs, peanuts, and more, stays loyal to its roots. Several Hakka specialities, such as Hakka Salted Kampong Chicken and Hakka Abacus, are also available.

10. Tamarind Springs
Tamarind Springs, hidden in a lush jungle, is hailed as one of the greatest venues in town for a romantic evening. The restaurant includes a few tents for guests who want to enjoy traditional Indochinese and Thai dishes while being near to nature. The meals, which are inspired by Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand, highlight the region’s sweet, salty, sour, and spicy flavours with a modern twist. The Terrace, a poolside lounge restaurant on the same grounds, serves piping hot Thai Hot Pot with plates of sustainably sourced seafood, beef, and veggies. Tamarind Springs is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a calm and personal supper.
