1. A 4-Year-Old Kid Indiscriminately Abused by Her Foster Parents #JusticeforAlia
A viral video showing a child being indiscriminately abused by a woman who is also the child’s foster mother has invited various reactions on social media.
On Friday morning, a woman was seen in a video posted on TikTok and Instagram assaulting a little girl who is also her adoptive child with a broomstick and putting the broomstick around the child’s neck for an unspecified cause.
The video showing the disgusting behavior was recorded by an Instagram user known as Aqil. The footage received hundreds of thousands of views on TikTok, Instagram, and even Twitter. The video was also showered with various comments from netizens insulting the act.
An announcement made on Facebook states that the police responded to a report filed by a 20-year-old guy. A local woman and her Singaporean husband, both between the ages of 28 and 30, have been detained, and the case is being looked into in accordance with Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act of 2001, according to Kajang district police chief ACP Mohd Zaid Hasan.
2. RapidKL Calls Out Two Teenagers For Eating Instant Noodles Inside the MRT Train
The actions of two teenage girls believed to be enjoying instant noodles in the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) invited reprimands from the management of Rapid KL. Pictures of the two teenagers playing on their phones and holding an opened cup of instant noodles were posted by Rapid KL on its Facebook and Twitter pages.
In a tweet made by @/AskRapidKL on Twitter, it was seen that the management sarcastically stated that they never provide hot water to cook the cup of instant noodles. They also advised passengers to always wear a face mask if they are on public transport.

Even so, the announcement failed to receive positive feedback among Twitter users where many expressed dissatisfaction with several issues that Rapid KL has not yet managed to fix until now.
Some social media users appreciated Rapid KL for the reminder while also tagging the training provider with their own recommendations and reminding them to fix the escalators and the continued leaky ceilings. Others berated the lengthy LRT/MRT intervals and the delayed buses.
3. Students from Various Universities Participated in the #Turun Demonstration
Due to Malaysian students’ frustration with the government’s inaction in addressing the nation’s rising cost of living, the hashtag #Turun is currently trending on Twitter.
The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Student Union served as the movement’s leader and worked in conjunction with a number of other student-based groups. They threaten to continue demonstrating if their demands, which include salary reductions for ministers, price regulation of commodities and foods, equitable welfare, answers to the problem of food security, and the retention of subsidies, are not fulfilled.
However, a number of Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP) or Student Representative Councils from public universities reacted angrily to the #Turun demonstrations on July 24, 2022, claiming that they were illegal, immoral, and obscene, damaged the university’s reputation, and caused disharmony to the country.
The MPP line’s comment has sparked a lot of backlash from internet users on social media, and many people are furious about it. As a result, many people concurred with a tweet that claimed these student councils were just a group of “Macai” that didn’t actually defend the rights of students.
