#1 S’Mores Pie – RM10.50

Ever wondered what it would be like to sit around a campfire and roast the marshmallows until it becomes gooey and squash it between two crackers? Well now just take that thought and fuse it with pie. Yup, ladies and gentlemen there you have it, the S’Mores Pie! The pie is filled with dark chocolate and roasted marshmallow, and if you want it sweeter you can change the dark chocolate to milk chocolate. The crust of the pastry from the pie serves as the cracker and it is amazing because it compliments the gooeyness of the marshmallows so well.

4. Shugatori Dessert Cafe

This dessert cafe takes pancakes and waffles to a whole new level. With creative designs and unique tastes for their desserts, Shugatori is a cafe you must try. Serving up Malaysia’s very first “dual” waffle, Shugatori made a two flavoured waffle so that you can try the best of both worlds! Their sensational pancakes are to die for as well, by having Red Velvet, Matcha and Chocolate pancakes, you can never go wrong when you need to ultimately decide which one you want.

Source: Shugatori

#1 The Ying & Yang – RM21.90

This unique waffle is one of their best sellers and it is also Malaysia’s first dual waffle! So what this means is that the waffle is half charcoal and half classic flavoured. It is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, almond bits, diced mango and a strawberry compote. There is no question why this is one of their best sellers because the flavours and textures come together in unison. The soft and creamy texture of the ice cream and the slight crisp of the waffle is just a heavenly combination that you must try.

#2 The Red Velvet Pancake – RM25.90

Stacked with 3 pancakes that are stuck together with lemon fromage, and the sweetening flavours of a scoop of Hokey Pokey ice cream drizzled with caramel sauce, this dessert will make you drool as you think about it. The tangy taste of the red velvet is fused greatly with the sweet and sugary taste of the Hokey Pokey ice cream as it counters the zesty aftertaste. The flavour combinations of this dessert give your tongue a literal party as you take your first bite of it.

Shugatori Dessert Cafe brings common waffles and pancakes to another world, therefore you have to try these dishes! It is a bit pricey, but the flavour combinations and artistic designs will definitely make up for the price.

5. Molten Chocolate Cafe

Yes, I know that this is a franchise, but Molten is basically chocolate heaven, so I had to include it! As they produce a chocolate lovers dream on a plate, Molten Chocolate Cafe was an exception for this article. With their fettuccine crepes and their sizzling brownies, this cafe just had to be mentioned.

Source: Molten Chocolate Cafe

#1 Fettuccine Crepe – RM28.50

This may sound a bit off-putting, however, trust me, you won’t regret ordering this item. It’s literally, a dessert pasta! The crepes are sliced thinly as they start to form into a long flat shape, hence the name Fettuccine Crepe. The “pasta sauce” is milk chocolate generously drizzled over the crepes and it comes with a side of premium vanilla ice cream. This dish is my personal favourite and I would recommend this to anyone who loves chocolate!

#2 Sizzling Brownies – RM26.50

When people think of sizzling plates, they think of savoury food, like chicken chop, and a steak, but never a dessert! At Molten they serve up a piping hot sizzling brownie topped with their premium vanilla ice cream. The bite-size marshmallows swim in sticky, bubbling chocolate sauce as the brownie soaks up any excess chocolate. You might be thinking that the ice cream will melt, and yeah, you’re right it will, but that’s the best part! When you take in the first initial bite the contrasting temperatures of hot and cold will intrigue your senses. Then as the ice cream starts to melt, the vanilla and chocolate start to fuse together to create a mesmerising flavour combination that will make you fall in love with this dish!

What excites me about molten is that they use such a basic ingredient like chocolate and they make it in ways that is unique! Such as making fettuccine crepes, or having sizzling brownies, the uniqueness to their desserts are never ending and they will have you wanting more every time you think of chocolate.
